Lympstone Film Society

Lympstone Film Society has been satisfying the enthusiasm for film in the village for 5 years. Members have enjoyed a very wide range of films and will do so again this season. The programme ranges from classics to excellent recent films which just didn’t get enough screenings in the south west when released.

Our Friday Film Nights in the Village Hall are ‘a proper evening out’, with a sociable bar beforehand and ice creams during the interval which follows carefully selected shorts and often films made by the enthusiastic local film makers whose work is financially supported by the society.

Although we offer public admission at £5 ‘on the door’, members benefit from a large discount, newsletters and a bonus film at our AGM in May. Membership is £25 for new members; details and application form from Helen Dimond on 01395 223433.

We also show classics from the golden age of filmaking at our Tuesday matinees in the Methodist Hall. Entry is open to all at £3 (£2 to LFS members)
